Why we price this way

An honest pricing model has no hidden incentives.

Most AI coding tools have a structural conflict between margin and your wallet: they pay for inference, mark it up, and need you to use more tokens to make their unit economics work. The longer you stay on autopilot, the better their P&L looks.

aiworklab's incentives are different. We charge you a flat amount for the teaching layer; you bring your own LLM. We never see your token bill, never mark it up, and have no commercial reason to nudge you toward more agent calls. The product gets out of the way as you get better. That's the whole point.

The trade-off: you handle your own inference. We think that's a fair price for transparency, and BYO has gotten dramatically easier in 2026. One-click sign-in with Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google, or auto-detection of a local model running on Ollama. Most users are working in under sixty seconds.

*Our SOC 2 program is ahead of schedule: the Type I report is expected by early Q4 2026, and the Type II observation window is already underway, with that report targeted for the end of 2026. Money questions.

Will pricing change after public beta?
Pro will stay at $19/mo for everyone who signs up before general availability, locked for two years. Team pricing may adjust at GA, but pilot customers keep their pilot price. Enterprise is always a custom contract.
Do I need to bring an LLM key just to try it?
Yes. We don't host inference. The two easiest paths: (1) one-click sign-in with the Anthropic or OpenAI account you already have, or (2) point us at a local model on Ollama or LM Studio and pay nothing extra for inference. The setup takes under a minute.
Are there per-seat minimums on Team?
Five seats minimum on Team. Below that, individual Pro plans are usually the better fit. We're happy to advise.
What does the Education tier require?
A verified .edu domain or a recognised bootcamp or training provider. For students, we offer Pro free of charge for the duration of your active enrolment. Email edu@aiworklab.com.
Refunds?
14-day no-questions refund on Pro and Team. Enterprise contracts have their own terms agreed up front. Cancel any time; no clawbacks.
